Franco Andreone is a zoology curator at the Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali in Turin, Italy. He has been interested in amphibians in Madagascar for about thirty years and has launched the ACSAM Initiative (“A Conservation Strategy for the Amphibian of Madagascar”) as cochair of the IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group for Madagascar.
