He is the author of Democracy and Political Ignorance: Why Smaller Government is Smarter. Somin’s work has appeared in numerous academic and popular publications, including the Yale Law Journal, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today. He writes regularly for the popular Volokh Conspiracy blog, affiliated with the Washington Post.
