Leela Viswanathan has over twenty-five years of experience working as a researcher in academia, government, and the not-for-profit sectors. She is the founder and principal of Viswali Consulting, is a registered professional planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute, a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners, and an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Geography and Planning at Queen’s University. She is the winner of the American Association of Geographers Enhancing Diversity Award and a recipient of the Steve Cutway Accessibility Award, and has twice received the Julian Szeicz Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is the author of The Deliberate Doctorate: A Values-Focused Journey to Your PhD.
