Samuel Woolley is the William S. Dietrich II Endowed Chair of Disinformation Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the author of The Reality Game: How the Next Wave of Technology Will Break the Truth and Manufacturing Consensus: Understanding Propaganda in the Era of Automation and Anonymity, for which he won the Association of Internet Researcher’s 2024 Nancy Baym Book Award. He is also coeditor of Computational Propaganda: Political Parties, Politicians, and Political Manipulation on Social Media and coauthor of Bots.
